PATIENT COOPERATION & WOODEN NICKEL PROGRAM

 

We have established an incentive program for our patients undergoing active treatment.  Since patient compliance is the single most important aspect of achieving excellent orthodontic results, we feel that patients of Davies Orthodontics deserve a reward for helping us create a beautiful smile!

The following is a description of the incentive system.  Every time you are seen for your scheduled appointment during active treatment, you will be evaluated in FIVE areas of cooperation.

  1. Excellent brushing, flossing, and general oral health maintenance.
  2. Wearing your rubber bands, headgear, or removable appliances
  3. No lost/broken appliances or broken braces
  4. Coming to your appointment on time
  5. Wearing your ‘Davies Orthodontics’ T-shirt

 

Cooperation in each of these categories earns you a “WOODEN NICKEL”.  You must be graded an EXCELLENT for tooth brushing before you are eligible to receive a nickel in the first four categories.

These nickels are then used to buy merchandise at our store, which has a variety of items to purchase. The value of each item will be marked so that you can see how many nickels you will need to save in order to purchase the desired item. 

So it’s up to you – the better you cooperate, the more nickels you have to spend!

Poor brushing and breakage can prolong treatment so after you have been seen three times for a broken brace, you will be charged $20.00 thereafter for each broken brace.

It is our intention now, as always, to provide the best results possible for our patients.  This system is designed with that in mind.
